FAQs

My child is new to STEAM, will the programme be suitable for new learners?

Yes, absolutely.

Our educators are trained to monitor each childs progress to ensure adequate support is provided. Your child will be encouraged to go at their own pace and also challenged to learn new concepts in a supportive environment.

Does my child need to bring their own device to their STEAM class at school?

No.

We provide all resources and learning tools.

There are so many free coding lessons available online, what makes this programme different?

The difference is our robust curriculum which has been developed by industry experts and specialist. It's having the hands on support from a REAL educator and physical interaction for your child to be as creative as they like which is not availalble online. Progress monitoring is key to enabling your child to thrive in specific areas that come naturally to them. Also, in the real world your child will have to learn to work together with a team on several occasions, at our learning spaces, we encourage sharing ideas to enhance teamwork and foster great friendships.

When your child learns in a real world application environment, it enhances their critical thinking, analytical, communication, presentation, logical reasoning, and creative skills.

The biggest bonus is that it gives you an opportunity to drop your child at a safe space and have a well-deserved break. Let's be real, online classess still require you to be with your child at home.

How will I know what my child is learning?

Each term your child will be taught a combination of lessons. We assist a child to thrive in STEAM by using up to date technology platforms and programmes as enablers including Scratch, Python, C++ / C#, Arduino, Java, Python, Robotics, 3D designs and printing.

Our aim is to enhance digital literacy from an early age for each of our students, along with elements of financial literacy, capability in demonstrating good digital citizenship and fostering creative thinking and problem solving.

Your child will also be supported to learn in a team, real world application environment to enhance their critical thinking, analytical, communication, presentation, logical reasoning, and creative skills.

Health and Safety

We take Health and Safety seriously, our educators are trained to comply with the Health and Safety requirements onsite and are trained to provide first aid where necessary.

When you complete your purchase, you will receive a Student Registration form. You will be asked information about your child, the parent/carergiver to assist us in our planning.

What happens if my child struggles with the content?

Our programmes are designed to suit both beginners and advanced levels of learners and are supported by hands on educators who are trained to recognise each child’s strengths.  When you enroll your child at their age specific level, we can assure you that they will have adequate support to progress through the curriculum at a speed that suits them.

Although the age specific classes are ideal for social interactions and project related opportunities, we like to operate in a strength-based environment therefore we don’t want to limit a childs capacity and capabitly by restricting them to a
certain class.

What we can offer you is flexibility in changing classes (subject to availability)  after the first two lessons if you feel your child will enjoy changing to another level.

special needs and a sensory friendly platform - what does this mean for my child?

We are proud to offer an inclusive enviroment where every effort is made to cater for ALL abilities and strengths. We understand that all children are unique therefore our educators take time to understand what set up or speed best suits your child. We welcome a carer to be present with a child if necessary.
